SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is a measure of efficiency for air conditioners and heat pumps. Ameristar units are designed to meet the new 13 SEER government minimum standard for energy efficiency, which will ensure a level of savings for homeowners.

Minimum efficiency established by the department of Energy. The majority of systems installed prior to 1992 are 10 SEER or lower. Potential energy savings may vary depending on your lifestyle, system settings, equipment maintenance, local climate, home construction and installation of equipment and duct system.
